Tell Congress to stop ICE raids in schools and hospitals

No one should be afraid to seek help when they need it – regardless of their immigration status.

But over the past few months, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has targeted immigrants in hospitals, churches, courthouses, and even domestic violence shelters. Immigrant families need to know that they can go to church, go to school, go to the doctor or report a crime without fear of being torn apart: Add your name to tell Congress to stop ICE raids in schools, hospitals, courthouses, and places of worship!

It doesn’t make us any safer when immigrants live in fear that ICE might be anywhere at any time. When a domestic violence victim can be detained at a courthouse while seeking a protective order, abusers are empowered and other victims don’t come forward. And when anyone can be deported just for being here without paperwork, serious crimes go unreported, witnesses stay silent, and violent criminals go unpunished.

Right now, the Trump administration is sending the dangerous message that victims of crimes only count if they’re citizens. We need to send the message that the United States of America is and will always be better than that.

Join me in standing up for what’s right: Sign my petition right now and tell Congress to stop ICE raids in sensitive areas!
